Qualifications and Responsibilities All Our Drivers Possess
Driver Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL drivers license
- At least two consecutive years of verifiable driving experience
- Extensive knowledge of D.O.T. CDL driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years in any type of vehicle
- No D.O.T. defined accidents in the last three years in any type of vehicle
- No D.W.I. or D.U.I. convictions in the past seven years
- A negative, pre-employment D.O.T. regulated drug screen result
- A current, Driver Not Prohibited status, on the FMCSA D&A Clearinghouse.
Driver Responsibilities:
- Plan routes and provide timely and undamaged deliveries for our clients in an efficient, safe and courteous manner.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts
- Comply with D.O.T. CDL truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as client policies and procedures
- Report defects, accidents, or violations
